Name of your Dragon: Irisa
Age: 13 years old.
Gender: Female.
Parents Vanilor and Cheerates.
Status: Dragon of a Rider
Rider: Unknown.
The Hatching: Irisa waited only half a year until she found her Rider. Being the daughter of the king of wild dragons, she was adored by other dragons. She was the first child of her parents to be bonded as a Dragon of a Rider. Irisa hatched unusually, though. She would start cracking her egg, and then go to sleep, and start cracking again. She did this several times, and it made her Rider and other Riders jumpy and nervous. Finally, two days later, she emerged from her egg, as jumpy and giddy as any hatchling. The Riders were relieved.
Personality: Irisa is a bit shy in dragon standards, but she is as fierce as any of them. She is especially enraged when annoyed by younger Riders or Dragons, which basically rules her out of ever teaching them. She can be very impatient. When she's hungry, she's extremely grouchy, and will let the whole of Alagaësia know about it. Many of the traits of her father can be seen in her, such as senseless tantrums, and formidable grace. She loves her Rider dearly, and would do anything to protect them, even if it meant turning against a fellow dragon. She has no interest in mating; she doesn't see any of the male dragons as potential mates; in other words, they're not good enough for her. Irisa has very high, almost impossible, standards in this aspect.
Appearance: Irisa is a purple dragon. Her scaled vary from dark violet to indigo. She has two cheek spikes, thin and curved yet graceful, horns, and two forehead spines. One of the spikes on her neck is broken off halfway from a skirmish she got into with another dragon. Her eyes are a lighter purple than her scales, and sometimes they appear pink. Irisa has legs that are too slender for her body, but they look nothing less than beautiful for her. Her armor was given to her as a gift from the dwarves, whom she adores. It is silver with purple gems decorating it.
RP Example:
Irisa hummed to herself as she explored the island of Vroengard while her Rider was sleeping. She sniffed at a large pool of water, and then drank from it. The water was sweet and rich, like all water that was constantly exposed to magic. She growled slightly when she heard another smaller dragon approaching. She saw the dragon quickly scurry away as she continued drinking.
Hatchlings, Irisa thought to herself, then pulled her head up, full with the fresh tasting water. She blinked a few times when she saw that the younger dragon was still there. Showing her teeth, she observed it for a moment, and then spouted a small jet of flame that barely missed the other dragon. The dragon jumped back, startled, then huffed, stomping away. Irisa rolled her eyes, annoyed.
Looking at the water, she put her two front legs in, and then dove under it. She played, chasing her tail and snapping at fish. When Irisa was done, she flew out of the water and into sky, the sun reflecting off her purple scales and making them look like gems. Irisa smiled at herself. Surely she was the most beautiful being in all of Alagaësia.
