Name:
Aquitaine Ládin [AQUI-TEEN]
Age:
70
Gender:
Female
Family:
Ládin
Status:
Smith
Weapons:
Arget Aiedail – Shining silver double-edged axe. Being about one meter long, it is fit to be used both one or two handed. It’s blade is decorated by words of ancient language, giving it light weight, yet the damane remains the same.
History:
Aquitaine was born in Osilon. The kid was trouble from her early years, having fun in monkeying around with not trustworthy friends and getting into fights – nothing young lady should do. When her parents tried to ground her, she ran from home with half the family money and started on her own. She travelled acros Alagaësia, when she finally got lost in Beor mountains. She was found by more peaceful dwarves, almost dead after a wild animal attacked her. She stayed with them until she recovered, but refused to leave without paying the debt and so she was accepted as smith apprentice. While the dwarves taught her may wals of Regininy metal, she was in turn using magic to help them achieve the best duality. Together they made big money and when she knew all the dwarwes could teach her, she headed back home. Her parents welcomed her, to her big surprise. She flunder her own shop and is making weapons, armors, but also items of daily use ever since.
Personality:
Years spent with dwarves made her even worse elf than before. She has no sense for formal greetings and other elvish vain stuff. She is a woman of action, who judges people by their deeds, rather than looks, money or personality. She is choleric, won’t hesitate to dring slightly little more than is recommended and to get into a figur, because she is stronger than regular elfs. On the other side, she is very focused on her work, and that is what brings order and piece to her life. She won’t stop until the item she is creating exactly matches her or her customers wish.
Appearance:
She is usually seen in brown apron, or light cotton clothes when she is not working. Her years are extremely long even for an elf, while she is of smaller height. She looks little fat, but all the mass is just muscle. Nobody remembers the color of her hair, because it is constantly colored by ashes from the furnace. Her skin is rough and looking old from the intense heat and insane conditions. She has turquoise eyes, looking like pure frozen water. Years of work took the toll on her skeleton, and her joints can hurt pretty badly in cold and after long work. The upper part of her body is also permanently inclined forward.
RP example:
Aquitaine took the image. Some young älfainn wanted her forehead decorated by silver tiara. „How about if we changed it little bit here and here?“ she asked and redrawn the image. She pointed at the mirror and showed her how exactly might it look like on her head. „I think it is great.“ Replied the young lady and Aquitaine nodded. She signed the lady that she is free to go. „It will be done in three hours.“ She noticek and vanished in the back of the store. She picked up few silver bars on her way and silver rod. Then she dug up a pouch with tiny diamonds down from the box and took some. She went to the furnace. „Brisingr.“ She barked and the fire appeared inside. She put the silver in a bowl and hung it inside. When it melted, she started singing. She sang about the beauty of the crown’s wearer, and about the beauty it’s own. The silver started to swirl, and then it shot out of the bowl, like a floating stream, stopping in front of her and forming the rough shape of the crown. Aquitaine then aded mor emagic to her song, singing about the stars it should reflect, as the tiara was designed to imitate the night sky. All the details were almost made, when she sung about the brightest star, the one that should be in the middle. A flat space created there. And she sang about cold water, and the silver cooled down quickly, giving it a night-blue color, that reflected like a moonlight. She took the tiara and checked every edge. Perfect. She took the gem, put it on it’s spot and wrapped it’s base with the silver rod. Then she heated it, fixing the gem to the crown. It all took about two hours.
