Voronwer spoke only to Jamr. No. But it consists of both a question and a statement. The statement: Miriel has, unnaturally, taken a liking to your Rider. The question: Does Aren return her feelings, even in part? I ask because Miriel will most likely moon for ages if she doesn't know, and I have a feeling that she won't get over it. At least, not for a very, very long time. Not that I approve of love at first sight, as they say, and as any dragon I am reluctant to share my Rider with anyone. I don't know Aren, and neither does she, but she insists...
Separate from the dragons' conversation, Miriel smiled at Aren. "I am a Haldin and was born on Illium, but I spent a lot of my life in Ellesmera. That is, a lot of my life before Voronwer hatched for me. Then I lived mostly in Vroengard. However, I still feel like part of the ocean sometimes, and I love ponds and fountains..." He was really attractive, Miriel realized, and blushed. "I, um, don't suppose you're from Illium. You look more like a forest elf to me...." Every time she tried to start a sentence she got caught up in the moment and forgot what she was going to say. It was annoying, but, then again, she found the fact that she couldn't take her eyes off of him annoying too. The Rider brushed a lock of her white-blonde hair back, and smiled at Aren sheepishly. "I'm sorry, it's just that, um...Well, I don't seem to be able to talk today!"

Hmm, Jamr said, pondering over this, and wondering what to do. Aren does...feel an attraction to her....but...I'm afraid he thinks more with his heart than his head. I'm telling you this as a warning; I would not be happy if Aren got hurt over this...predicament. But, so far, I like you and Miriel. I take more time to rely on a person's character than Aren does, I'm afraid.
He shifted uneasily at keeping this from his Rider. He had rarely kept any information from Aren, and was not glad to be doing so. It felt unnatural, and made him very uncomfortable. He turned his attention on Miriel, trying to forget it as he watched her stumble over her words.
